In Neobiont, saxophonist and composer Benedikt Jäckle, now based in Berlin, unites his long-time friends and musical companions in an exciting new project. Together, the six musicians, who are firmly anchored in the German music scene, want to concentrate their power on one denominator and create highly energetic music that sometimes sounds like elegiac sound painting, then again wild and combative. Combining two saxophones, piano, bass and two drums, the rhythmic element is at the forefront. With roots deep in jazz history, the band is not concerned with a new definition of contemporary jazz, but above all with personal devotion and breaking away from stale patterns....
