Featuring the extraordinary talents of bass guitarist Laurence Cottle, this concert is a celebration of the legendary sounds of Jaco Pastorius.
One of the most influential musicians of the twentieth century, Jaco brought the bass guitar to the melodic forefront of jazz (and pop music) while propelling the rhythm with unstoppable energy, and his big band, the Word of Mouth Orchestra, blended rhythm & blues, Caribbean sunshine, bebop momentum and rocking intensity into a sizzling, creative fiesta.
NB There will be a pre-concert discussion with Tommy Smith and Laurence Cottle at 6.45pm each night
