Suomalaisen jazzin kovinta ydintä edustava saksofonisti Manuel Dunkel vierailee kesäkuussa Jazz Jkl Collectiven klubivieraana. Ohjelmassa on Dunkelin omia sävellyksiä ja John Coltranen musiikkia.
Manuel Dunkel on vaikuttanut lukuisissa kokoonpanoissa ja soittanut vakituisesti UMO:ssa vuodesta 1994 lähtien. Seitsemän sooloalbuminsa lisäksi Dunkel on esiintynyt yli 70 albumilla ja yli 30 maassa. Oman kvartettinsa lisäksi monien yhtyeiden luottosaksofonistina (mm. UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra, Jukka Perko & Hurmio-orkesteri ja Platypus Ensemble) toimineelle taiturille myönnettiin Suomen Jazzliiton Yrjö-palkinto vuonna 2011. Dunkel tunnetaan erinomaisena John Coltrane -tulkitsijana. Hänen omassa tuotannossaan melodisuus ja jazzin perinne yhdistyvät moderneihin sävyihin.
