Award-winning master vibraphonist Joe Locke and singer extraordinaire, Kenny Washington join the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra to weave their unique spell around the timeless songbooks of Henry Mancini and Johnny Mandel.
Transcending the cinematic era, this wonderful music will include familiar and iconic tunes such as Mancini’s Moon River and Pink Panther and Mandel’s Shadow of Your Smile and the “Mash” theme tune “Suicide is Painless”.
Showcasing new big band arrangements commissioned by the SNJO and played by the orchestra with their special guests Joe Locke and Kenny Washington, these timeless compositions by film composer Henry Mancini and fabulous songs of Johnny Mandel promise a marvellous evening of music and song.
