Join us as we continue our 35th year of great jazz with a performance featuring one of the most gifted musicians to come from Central Pennsylvania – saxophonist and York, PA native Chris Bacas. He has been living in New York City for many years and will bring his working quintet – Voyage West – for the concert. The group features German vibraphonist/composer Stefan Bauer, bassist Dean Johnson, drummer Rogerio Boccato, and vocalist Tammy Scheffer.
This is the first CPFJ series concert that we have presented in the York area. We chose Wyndrige Farm, a newly opened event center, brewery, distillery, and restaurant as the site for Chris Bacas’ homecoming event. The facility has a beautifully renovated barn that serves as a great space for an intimate jazz concert. CPFJ will host two shows in the facility with Voyage - one at 3:00pm and one at 6:30p.m. This will allow patrons to choose to drive in daylight hours if they are coming from far away. There is a tasting room with a full menu available before and after the concerts as well as a bar and light food available during the performances so plan to savor their excellent food and drink menus.
