March’s Jazz in the Sky will feature the Brazilian original Kenia for a night of savvy, swinging samba, bossa nova, and choro (called the New Orleans jazz of Brazil), in the Ware Center’s intimate Owen Salon overlooking Prince Street.

All tickets include complimentary beverage service which begins at 7 PM with the concert beginning at 7:30 PM. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street.

Kenia’s deep, sultry South American voice will be accompanied by accomplished pianist Steve Rudolph and his jazz trio. A talented performer heavily influenced by American jazz, Kenia captures the audience regardless of geographical or musical boundaries. She has the ability to translate her songs into the universal language of passion and poetry, with just the right flavor of South American spice....

Steve Rudolph has been playing music professionally for over 40 years. His vast experience includes concert performances with many great jazz masters, including Louie Bellson, Clark Terry, Terry Gibbs, Rufus Reid, Buddy Tate, Al Grey, the Mills Brothers, and Cal Collins. He has toured throughout the U.S. and all over the world, and has been largely responsible for the growth and development of the thriving jazz scene in Central PA.

Prince Street, in Lancaster. Doors open one hour before each show for ticket sales, subject to availability.
