Fabled is the brainchild of saxophonist/clarinettist Sam Rapley who has assembled a group of the most exciting young musicians on the UK music scene. In October 2018 they played a highly successful gig at The Lescar and we vowed then to bring them back soon to Sheffield. All close friends, the band’s empathy is clear in their unified sound. Richly atmospheric and expressive, Sam's music draws inspiration from Debussy, Jobim and Sarah Vaughan and is heavily influenced by film music: shimmering, impressionistic and multi-textured.
