Award winning trumpeter Hugh Pascall has developed a highly respected career on the UK scene as a sideman and now leads his own band. Described by London Jazz News as âan outstanding soloistâ, his music is straight-ahead jazz with melody, a lyrical, vibrant and modern approach to post-bop jazz. He cites Freddie Hubbard, Wayne Shorter, Coltrane and Miles as inspirations, resulting in a broad range of tunes from beautifully lustrous ballads to irresistibly bouncing bops. Expect interpretations of choice standards alongside new compositions from his much anticipated debut album âBorderlandsâ released in 2022.
