Sam Rapley has assembled a group of the most exciting musicians on the UK music scene. All close friends, their empathy is clear in the unified sound of this band.
Sam's music draws inspiration from Debussy, Tom Jobim, Sarah Vaughan and Bon Iver, and is heavily influenced by film music, and the relationship between music and storytelling. Shimmering, impressionistic, and multi-textured, there is real poetry in this music, an emotional directness, and a sense of both nostalgia and optimism.
