About
Swiss trombonist Samuel Blaser brings this multi-national trio to Sheffield for a set of extended improvisations. Through frequent performing the trio has developed an active interplay where each member knows how to grasp the otherโs musical ideas in a unique way. A superb technician, Samuel is capable of making the trombone sing. Juxtaposed with the adventurous, brash-toned French guitarist Marc Ducret, the duo is accented and propelled by the excellent Danish drummer Peter Bruun. This shape-shifting trio can march, tumble, groove, simmer or flare up - all three players displaying a unique language of incisive and fascinating free jazz.
