Speakeasy Bootleg Band at The Caledonia

It's the first day of September - the only month with the same number of letters in its name as the number of the month ....... It's also the first Thursday and that means one thing and that is Speakeasy Bootleg Band comes flying back into Liverpool's iconic Caledonia (L7 7DX) for our monthly session of fun, frolics and musical Bogsnorkelling. As well as superb music, the beer's brilliant too ..... and the food's a legend in its own lunchtime. It's also the US "No Rhyme Nor Reason Day" and 120 years since Georges Melies released his film ‘A Trip to the Moon’ where the travellers get sent packing by the Moon people. So what better way to escape the Aliens than to blast off to the Cali, where you don't need a reason to have your tea, drink your way along the bar and round things off with a liberal helping of the Finest Quality Bootleg Music Since Records Began.............

There's loads of floor space, so turn up in droves, dance away your blues and ram the place to the doors ....... It's a tall ceiling so you can stand on each other's shoulders, jump up and down, sing, shout, drink beer and Fill Yer Boots. We kick off about 9PM and play until the last alien gets sick of chasing us.....
