The documentary of the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival, “Jazz On A Summer’s Day” made her a global star. The world was amazed by her unique phrasing on “Sweet Georgia Brown” and “Tea For Two” from that concert. “Anita Sings Anita” celebrates this incredible artist who is clearly one of Wardell’s major influences and for this special show, Anita will be performing with the swinging trio talents of Rob Barron, piano, Jeremy Brown, bass and Emiliano Carroselli, drums.
