About

Bobby Wellins is considered to be one of the icons of British modern jazz. Originally from Glasgow, Bobby was on one of the biggest selling jazz albums ever produced in this country, Stan Tracey’s “Under Milk Wood”, recorded in the late sixties. Tonight Bobby will be celebrating his milestone 80th birthday with a host of friends with whom he has performed over the years, including singer Georgia Mancio, singer/pianist Peter Churchill, fellow saxophonists Art Themen and Don Weller, pianists Mark Edwards, Liam Noble and Kate Williams, bassist Andy Cleyndert and drummers Spike Wells and Dave Wickens plus a selection of special guests. This promises to be an amazing night full of world-class music and birthday fun, booking definitely advised. ...
