About

David Angol is a saxophonist bandleader, composer and session musician. Born in Preston to Dominican parents, he grew up listening to Reggae, Calypso, soul and Blues music. So even though he is a jazz purist, his sound has been heavily influenced by the music he was raised with.

David toured with the award-winning ‘Blue Note’ records group ‘US3’. He played and remains to play on the International and London Jazz circuits, alongside people such as Bobby Watson, Jools Holland, Bheki Mesleku, Ralph Moore, Jerry Bergonzi, Jean Toussaint, Kenny Garrett and Tony Kofi....
