Andy & The Big Funk "absent Friend" at The Boston Room, George IV

The show is dedicated to the much lauded bassist Wayne Nunes of the Big Funk whose playing credits also included Billy Ocean, Eddie Grant, Tricky and Warrior Charge. The band will be playing selected tracks from the newly released album “Absent Friend” which will include songs by Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Teddy Pendergrass and Bill Withers among many more soul classics.
Always busy writing and recording, top soul vocalist Andrew Wood Mitchell’s 2121 single ‘Blue Star Boogie’ from the album “Merlin’s Bones” went to Number 1 in the UK Soul Charts and “Absent Friend” has already entered at Number 9.
