Hot on the heels of a sell-out show at the EFG London Jazz Festival, Blakey's Boys return to Pizza Express with an exciting new set of Art Blakey arrangements. Fronted by hard blowing tenor man Matt Telfer (Chuck Loeb, Tony Bennet) and Ronnie Scott's resident trumpeter Andy Davies (Nigel Kennedy, Ian Shaw) Blakey’s Boys perform popular arrangements from the legendary Jazz Messengers which led by drumming icon Art Blakey, was undoubtedly one of the most influential jazz combos with a career spanning 35 years. The man sitting in Blakey' chair is Hungarian drummer Gabor Dornyei, an incredible musician and a fitting man for the job!
