Bq Quintet Featuring Joy Rose at 606 Club

This fantastic "Groove" gig features the band of guitarist Bobby Quigley (co-leader of the Carl Hudson Groove Nights), a formidable young musician who includes work with the likes of Pete Ray Biggin, Imaani and Katie Leone on an impressive cv. The music will be an infectious blend of Groove and Jazz featuring a selection of classic groove standards with the occasional "Groove" original thrown in for good measure. As would be expected, the rest of the band is made up of some of the finest musicians on the scene, the remarkable Ross Stanley on keyboards, groove powerhouse Neville Malcolm on bass and the superb Jose Joyette (Eska, China Moses) on drums. Bobby's special guest this evening will be the powerhouse Joy Rose on vocals. A breathtaking singer Joy’s remarkable vocal talents have been making serious waves for some years amongst those who really know. Although you may not immediately recognise the name, there’s a very good chance you will recognise the remarkable voice, as Joy has been a featured performer with the likes of Sting, Herbie Hancock, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder and Incognito.
