Led by up and coming young jazz vocalist Ellie Bignall, the quintet plays predominantly jazz standards of the forties and fifties, often with a modern twist, as well as more contemporary compositions and arrangements by the band itself. Alongside Ellie, who is regularly on stage with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, the quintet features the talented vibe player Ralph Wyld (winner of the Dankworth Prize for composition & the Kenny Wheeler Prize at the Royal Academy Of Music
