Helen Theophanous’s Post Valentine’s “The Look Of Love” on the Lunchtime Session (2.30pm): Songs by Lionel Richie, Burt Bacharach, Cole Porter, Gershwin with a nod to Barbra Streisand, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and other jazz legends. Swing, Latin rhythms and romantic ballads to celebrate Valentine’s day with the jazz legends who are John Crawford, piano ,Tim Whitehead sax, (Nucleus, Way Out West, First Musician In Residence Tate Britain), Paul Morgan, bass, (BBC Radio Orchestra, Peggy Lee) and Steve Taylor drums {Steve Taylor Big Band, Frater and Taylor). Of Greek and Irish heritage, Helen has been singing since an early age and studied music at Goldsmith’s College and the Guildhall as well as with the award-winning American singer Lea DeLaria, star of the Netflix series, “Orange Is The New Black”. Helen often performs at major London venues and is known for her warm, passionate vocals, impressive range and exciting swinging style.
