Karen Lane - A tribute to Astrud Gilberto. Karen Lane celebrates her love of Brazillian rhythms - bossa nova and samba, a sound that encapsulated the carefree abandonment of the mid 1960’s era. Having caught the world’s attention with “The Girl from Ipanema” A.C. Jobim became a household name and other composers such as Luis Bonfa and Marcos Valle took off. Lane’s evocative understated vocal style perfectly captures the profound allure of Bossa Nova, as heard on her second album “Taste.”
