Live Jazz London - Steinway Festival 2014: Fini Bearman and Friends (featuring Barry Green and Liam Noble) Fini Bearman is a London based singer, songwriter and composer, and her music melds influences as diverse as Brazilian, Western Classical traditions, modern jazz and contemporary music into an arresting and uniquely personal sound. Sometimes dealing with settings of poetry and other pre-existing texts, other times with original lyrics or open, wordless evocations, this music is honest yet witty, mixing lush harmony and orchestration with contemporary grooves. Fini released her debut album 'Step Up' in September 2011, which was well received on the London jazz scene, and she is currently working on her next release, 'Porgy and Bess: Revisited', out in Spring 2014. Here she is joined by two of the UKs finest pianists Liam Noble and Barry Green. Noble has worked in the bands of Stan Sulzman, Harry Beckett, Tim Whitehead and Kenny Wheeler, as well as touring with cult minimalist composer Moondog.
