London Jazz Festival: Samara Feat. Liliana Chachian With Special Guest Tim Whitehead-sax at 606 Club

“SAMARA" is a six piece jazz/Latin group led by 606 Club owner Steve Rubie and suffice to say we think the guys in the band are just great! The pianist Neil Angilley works with Vanessa Mae, Shirley Bassey and “Down to the Bone”, Dill Katz, the bass player is visiting professor at the Guildhall, Nic France the drummer has worked with just about everyone, including Dave Gilmore (Pink Floyd) and Bill Withers, the percussionist Dawson Miller is generally recognised as one of the most versatile and experienced players on the scene and vocalist Liliana Chachian is considered to be one of the finest Brazilian singers currently working in Europe. And tonight Samara's Special Guest will be one of the UK's finest jazz saxophonists, the multi award-winning & highly lauded Tim Whitehead (Loose Tubes), who will be joining the band to add just that extra bit of spice, power and fun.
