About

Pascal Dusapin explores the pain and passion of two lovers who are forced apart to separate worlds.\nThis searingly beautiful and sensuous work for voice and body springs from the myth of Orpheus. However, there's an intriguing contemporary take – she is the one who wants to be followed.\nBlending the haunting sounds of harpsichord and Arabic Oud, Dusapin’s gleaming, shifting score, performed by the London Sinfonietta, conveys a timeless world within which the movement of dancers and singers can play out their story of loss and desire.\nLondon Sinfonietta\nGeoffrey Paterson - conductor\nAllison Bell - soprano, Her\nJohnny Herford - baritone, Him\nEXAUDI\nMusic Theatre Wales\nNational Dance Company Wales\nMichael McCarthy - director\nCaroline Finn - director\nSimon Banham - designer\nJoe Fletcher - lighting\nSound Intermedia
