Lunchtime Special: Royal College of Music Junior Jazz Big Bands at 606 Club

This special gig will showcase exciting young jazz musicians from the Royal College of Music’s Saturday Junior Department in an informal Sunday afternoon performance. With a total of 25 players performing in both Big Band and small group settings, ranging from the band's astonishing young drummer to a number of 18 year-old award-winners and diploma students heading for music colleges in September, this is a unique opportunity to hear some of the jazz stars of tomorrow. The afternoon will be jointly conducted by one of the UK’s finest jazz saxophonists Mornington Lockett (Sat 15th) and the wonderful composer, arranger, pianist, vocalist and bandleader Sara Dhillon.
