Lunchtime Special: Shireen Francis at 606 Club

Born in London of Jamaican and Goan heritage Shireen Francis learned her craft in Afro-Caribbean music, however, inspired by artists such as Marlena Shaw, Dianne Reeves and Nancy Wilson, she soon moved seamlessly in to a much more jazz influenced repertoire. These days her performances are rich and varied, including her own jazz and Caribbean influenced originals. This afternoon Shireen will be bringing her excellent band to the Club, featuring Josh Kemp-sax, Gunther Kurmayr-piano, Dave Jones-bass and Tristan Maillot-drums.
