Olivia Cuttill – Album Launch: …"And Writing And Singing And Tunes To Be Swingin’

Olivia Cuttill, Leeds Conservatoire graduate, Peter Whitingham 2024 award winner is a London based jazz trumpet player and composer. Since releasing her debut album, The Whole Damn Plan 2024, with The Olivia Cuttill Quintet, Olivia has toured the UK playing esteemed venues such as Ronnie Scotts, Howard Assembly Room and South Bank Centre. Olivia also plays in Jazz FM Innovator of the year nominee ‘Ferg’s Imaginary Big Band’ and with Northern Line 2024 winner Tom Harris. Olivia’s second album, ‘…And Writing And Singing And Tunes To Be Swingin’ comes out August 29th, with its UK and European tour starting July 10th. As the third generation to pursue music in her family (all of which feature on the album) , jazz and blues are deeply rooted in Olivia’s heritage. Heavily influenced by the sounds of New Orleans, inspired by Louis Armstrong and Dr John and the song writing of Nina Simone and Randy Newman, her sound is rich with soul.
