Paul Speare has worked as a recording and touring musician - playing saxophone and flute - for various pop and soul artists since the 1970s. He was a member of Dexys Midnight Runners, playing on their hugely successful single Come On Eileen, and moved on to become a sought-after session musician with Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe, and more recently Paul Weller. Paul Speare brings together musical influences from jazz, soul and prog with strong bass lines and grooves beneath flights of improvisation by the band.
