Sacred Circles: winners of BBC Innovation in Jazz award in 2003 features Cleveland Watkiss and Byron Wallen, two legends of the British jazz scene and favourites with the Jazzlive audience, combining forces for a rare outing of this dynamic vocal and trumpet duo.

'Sacred Circles', the brainchild of Byron Wallen started as a deeply spiritual exploration of the musical universe using traditional instruments, conch shells, and improvisation based on the concept of the circle. Cleveland Watkiss was the perfect choice to expand the circle into Dance, DJ and Vocal tapestries creating an infectious dialogue and interplay. Continuing a 20-year musical relationship they invite the audience to join them in a musical voyage which will encompass bebop, ballads, drum 'n' bass, freeform jazz and poetry, conversational spontaneous dramatics, and a night of the finest jazz sounds to be heard anywhere in the UK.
