Adele Sauros is an active and versatile musician in the Finnish jazz scene. Since childhood Adele has fought her way up the music scene, specifically in jazz, combining her musical skills with grace and perseverance in order to leave her indelible mark, not only as saxophonist but also as a jazz composer. Adele Sauros is an active and versatile musician in the Finnish jazz scene. Since childhood Adele has fought her way up the music scene, specifically in jazz, combining her musical skills with grace and perseverance in order to leave her indelible mark, not only as saxophonist but also as a jazz composer. Her rich Nordic musical heritage is a classic, romantic and storytelling musical voyage and full of emotions.

Adele frequently performs with the Adele Sauros Quartet, Katu Kaiku, JAF Trio and Olavi Louhivuori Superposition. She has performed in many renowned jazz festivals in Finland and Denmark, and since mid 2018 she has been based in London.

Sauros has also been a guest of numerous groups such as Aurora Hentunen Quartet and Laura Annika Quartet. She has also enlivened Helsinki’s jazz culture by running her own jazz club at Bar KapSäkkki.

The Finnish Saxophone Society awarded Sauros with the Åke Forsell prize in 2017. Sauros’ Finnish-Danish JAF Trio received the WeJazz Rising Star prize in 2017. Other achievements include the Young Nordic Jazz Comets 2015 prize for the group Katu Kaiku and the Young Nordic Jazz Comets Solo Award for the year 2014.

Her recordings include Adele Sauros: My Spontaneous Mind, Katu Kaiku: Tokyo / Kuopio and Adele Sauros Quartet: It’s Who I Am. Recently she has also played on the following releases: Aurora Hentunen Quartet: Second Spring, Laura Annika Quartet: Metsä and All About Eve,European rhythms / Europas Rhythmus.

2019 will see further releases from the bands Katu Kaiku and JAF Trio.
