STEVE BROOKSTEIN at 606 Club

Soul singer Steve Brookstein has had an enviable twenty-plus year career in the music industry at the very highest level. He’s recorded for major labels including MCA and Sony BMG and his 2005 recording “Heart & Soul” was a UK #1 selling album. Steve has duetted with multi-Grammy winner Bebe Winans and toured with the Olivier award-winning musical “Our House” as well as co-writing/producing Eileen Hunter’s debut album, signed to Jazz FM in 2010. His 606 concert tonight celebrates the release of his first album in 7 years via Pledge Music, “Forgotten Man”, a collection of superlative soul covers of songs popularised by Al Green, Sam Cooke & their contemporaries subtitled “Remembering the Legends of Soul”. Appearing with Steve this evening will be his great band, most of whom are also featured on the recording, Luca Boscagin on guitar, Gordon Hulbert on piano, Clint Williams on bass and Julien Brown on drums - plus expect some brilliant Guest vocals from the wonderful singer/pianist Eileen Hunter (Mrs Brookstein! - see Sunday Lunch 1st).
