Acknowledged in the UK, Europe and the USA as one of our premier R&B bands, the Kings are currently celebrating their 18th birthday. Firm favourites on the blues, rhythm & blues & swing dance scenes, The Cadillac Kings feature five of the UK's top blues and roots musicians with the multi-talented Tim Penn on piano and accordion, alongside ace guitarist Mal Barclay, singer/songwriter Mike Thomas and the top-notch rhythm section of double bassist Paul Cuff and drummer Roy Webber. Inspired by the sounds and styles of the ‘40s & ‘50s with a distinctly modern take lyric-wise courtesy of Mike Thomas, their latest cd reached #1 in USA Cashbox’s Blues & Boogie Chart, and stayed there for 4 weeks, holding off acts such as The Fabulous Thunderbirds, John Primer, Coco Montoya, and Rick Estrin & The Nightcats.
