The Delta Trio at The Boston Room, George IV

Started by guitarist Marcus Bonfanti and bassist Jihad Darwish in 2015, the Delta Trio is more than just a blues trio. Their music ranges from Bluegrass and Delta Blues, covering material from the likes of John Martyn, Paul Weller, The Meters and Little Feat with various jazz, soul, blues, funk and rock influences in their playing.

Marcus Bonfanti, twice winner of the British Blues Awards for best Acoustic Performer and Songwriter, has toured the world with the likes of Eric Clapton, Van Morrison. and Ronnie Wood among many others as well as opening shows for Chuck Berry, Robert Cray, Paul Jones and Little Feat. Jihad Darwish has toured, performed and recorded worldwide with numerous artists such as Sting, Eric Bibb, Imelda May, Beth Rowley and Mica Paris. The trio is completed by drummer Bubu Otis who studied at Perugia’s Conservatoire finishing with an MA in classical percussion before becoming an eclectic element of the London music scene. ...
