The Jazz Mondays at The Boston Room, George IV

The Jazz Mondays are local Chiswick based 13-piece band famous for their eight-strong “wall of saxes” fronting a tight, four-piece rhythm section and a dynamic vocalist. Regular rehearsals on Monday evenings gave The Jazz Mondays their name, with the original line-up meeting some 20 years ago whilst learning the saxophone and then gradually picking up other jazz enthusiasts along the way. Previous London appearances include the Ealing Jazz festival and the Crypt at St Martin’s in the Fields but this will be their local debut in the Boston Room at the George 1V, Chiswick High Road on Thursday May 25th. Their eclectic and constantly expanding repertoire covers everything from jazz to soul, ska to funk, Dizzy Gillespie to Amy Winehouse with the band liking nothing better than performing in front of a live audience....
