Her music has been described as “a hip pastiche”, “a walking catalog of 20th century jazz styles”, and “as good as it gets” in swing jazz, with No Depression magazine saying she is “truly an original”. In 2015 she followed up with the full-length Bandshell, which also debuted at #1 and was ranked the #5 best Canadian jazz release of 2015 by Jazz FM 91 in Toronto and one of the best of the decade by Rai Radio 1 in Italy. In 2016 she released an electro-swing version, called Bandshell Remixed, which made the Best of 2016 list on the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on BBC Radio 6. In 2018, she released her latest album Daydream, which also debuted at #1 and finds her moving effortlessly from the bossa nova and soul, to cool jazz and tango.
Tia has performed at such festivals as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Festival International de Jazz de Montreal (main stage), Bestival (UK), Iboga Summer Festival (Spain), Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival and San Jose Jazz Summer Fest (rated "Best of the Fest") among many others. She is on tour in support of her new album of standards and originals out this spring, titled “When I Get Low”.
