For Ornette Coleman’s 85 th birthday (on 9 th March), we are delighted to invite Tony Kofi’s Sphinx Trio. He debuted the trio at the Vortex last October. It is particularly poignant as Tony spent a week with Ornette talking through his philosophy of music and playing.
Tony Kofi (Alto Saxophone), Larry Bartley (Double Bass) & Rod Youngs (Drums) pay homage to the music of Ornette Coleman.
