Singer Guitarist/music journalist Emrys Baird is the consummate showman usually seen leading his jazz,funk and soul band,the soul immigrants (who are signed to PVINE records Japan) but tonight he is going solo playing some of his favourite jazz blues and soul numbers,a rare chance to catch this entertaining troubadour in the flesh.
SOUL IMMIGRANTS, which he formed with Nitin Sawhney in the mid 90's. He regularly writes articles for the "Blues and Soul" magazine, and composes his own songs for his band. He is planning to launch his latest album at "Toulouse Lautrec" later this year, which can only be described as the funkier version of The Beatles....
