Viktor Toth is an outstanding award-winning saxophonist in his native Hungary, twice winning Jazz Album of the Year and most recently Jazz Musician of the Year. A sensitive, dynamic player of exceptional quality, he also composes his own material of contemplative, contemporary, beautiful tunes. His international reputation is rapidly growing following appearances at jazz clubs and festivals throughout Europe and the US, including Lithuania, Poland, Bulgaria, Moscow, Germany, Italy and, in the US, in Washington and the Rochester and Flip Festivals New York. Accompanying him this evening will be, not surprisingly, a stellar UK rhythm section of Gareth Williams (Jerry Bergonzi, Claire Martin) piano, Steve Watts (Kenny Wheeler, Iain Ballamy) bass and Tim Giles (Fraud, Stan Sulzmann) on drums.
