WestSideJazz delivers mellow jazz and good vibes playing their own take on Swing, Blues, Ballad, and Latin standards. Formed out of Jazz Café sessions at Mehr Clef 2024, features Richard Cook on vocals, Marcus James on piano, and Jamie Royan on double bass. For this special show, WestSideJazz will additionally be joined by Isabel Sauders on vocals, Jeremy Robinson on trumpet, and Eric Ford on drums.

Isabel Saunders studied cello at Trinity College of Music before switching to jazz vocals via studying at Richmond Jazz School and Mehr Clef. Isabel is a regular performer at top London venues such as the Bulls Head and The Pheasantry.

Jeremy Robinson’s jazz trumpet influences span the history of the art: from Bix Beiderbecke and Louis Armstrong, through Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Lee Morgan and Wynton Marsalis and is a founding member of WestSideJazz. Marcus performs with a lyrical style drawing on influences ranging from Keith Jarrett to Bill Evans and Wynton Kelly.

Eric Ford was drummer with Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra before launching into a career performing at renowned venues including Ronnie Scott’s and The Royal Albert Hall and playing International Jazz Festivals including Vancouver and Rochester (N.Y.). Noted double and electric bassist Jamie Royan’s repertoire ranges through jazz, blues, and classical. Jamie is a founding member of WestSideJazz and regularly performs as principle with 59 de Ville, the Jazz Mondays, and The Ealing Very Senior Hot Jazz Orchestra.

The performance will include renditions of “The Best Is Yet To Come”, “Black Coffee”, “What A Difference A Day Makes”, “Bye Bye Blackbird”, “Let’s Get Lost” and “All Of Me” among other exciting numbers.
