Ian Shaw makes his annual return to Dean Street to present a complete week of extraordinary music. He will be joined by a dazzling array of special guests from the international world of jazz, old and new. Presenting jazz's younger new guard, Shaw invites the Manchester-born, Guildhall trained piano wunderkind, Safiruddin (The Ben Cox Band, Will Young) and the supremely gifted trumpet and flugelhorn player, Miguel Gorodi, for an emotionally charged evening of song and musical adventure. Expect ace new arrangements of Joni Mitchell, Jimmy Webb and Rickie Lee Jones, as well as chamber portraits of the classics.
