About
Orenda come to Lauderdale House as part of the 2023 London Jazz Festival!
The word Orenda comes from the Iroquois people; it is a spiritual force that may be called forth through song for acts of power, creativity and healing. Integrating music, poetry and spoken word, this new trio celebrate the traditional music from their various countries of origin. Josephine’s musical settings of poetry from the Shetland Islands and interpretations of folk melodies is blended with her immersion in jazz, classical and contemporary sounds.
