About
Kate Williams' Four Plus Three is an exciting collaboration between piano trio and string quartet which was launched in the summer of 2016. The band will perform material from their recent CD including pieces by Bill Evans, Cole Porter and A.C. Jobim as well as originals by Williams. Kate exploits the varied sound pallet of both string quartet and jazz trio, creating contrasts between the improvised and the notated, and between sustained textures and strong grooves.
