About
A terrific success every time she plays here, Niamh (pronounced “Neeve”) returns to the 606 to perform a selection of faultless originals plus a mix of her favourite songs combining jazz and soul grooves. Considered one of the very finest of the 'new' voices on the London scene, Niamh can be seen working regularly with iconic singer Gilbert O’Sullivan as well as being a featured vocalist on the "Weekend Wogan Show" (Radio 2). Niamh is also a songwriter affiliated with Universal Publishing for whom she writes music for film & TV. Tonight she will be showcasing her soulful vocals, piano and songwriting skills with her mix of great “Groove” originals and classic standards, performed impeccably with her powerful and cultured voice and a band of some of the finest musicians around, including the excellent Nial Tompkins on guitar and the (ubiquitous!) Carl Hudson on piano. Suffice it to say that I was so impressed when I first heard her that I also asked her to sing with my band! Highly recommended....
