Riotsquad Publicity was founded in 2007 by three of the UK’s leading alternate music publicists, Julie Allison, Siân Williams and Kerstan Mackness. Combining 40 years of experience across many music business disciplines (radio presenting, journalism, sales and marketing, DJ’s, publicists, tour producers, positions at major labels and management of smaller ones) they worked together and individually, to provide wide ranging campaigns for a diverse range of projects. Its sister management company, Riot Management, launched the careers of some of today’s biggest names including GoGo Penguin, Portico Quartet and Neil Cowley Trio. In 2017 Kerstan Mackness left Riotsquad to focus on his talents in management, launching his management, production and consultancy agency, Funky Fly Music.

Riotsquad was honored to represent London’s Ronnie Scott’s for seven years from 2011 and, in addition to other fesitvals and ‘seasons’, including those for the Barbican, the Southbank and La Linea, has worked with the Roundhouse on their ‘In the Round’ series of events since its inauguration in 2016.
