This upbeat 90 minute show in two parts is structured around songs by the much lauded pianist Simon Wallace and the late great jazz lyricist Fran Landesman whose lyrics are the last link with the Golden Age of American songwriting. The show also contains classic material by Landesman’s longtime friend and admirer, Stephen Sondheim and songs by Stoller and Cole Porter. Numbers such as “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”, (Cole Porter), “I’m A Woman” (Leiber & Stoller), “Sooner Or Later”, (Sondheim) & “I Need A Little Sugar In My Bowl”, (Bessie Smith) among others are superbly sung by Sarah Moule, “Long established as one of the best jazz singers in the country …..” Helen Mayhew – JazzFM 7.30pm (Doors 7.00pm)
