Shirley Smart, 'one of the best improvising cellists in the UK' is an adept, lyrical, highly-acclaimed explorer of music from classical to Middle Eastern to jazz. Tonight she turns her attention to the gorgeous repertoire of Django Reinhardt.

With leading jazz guitar legend John Wheatcroft (who's played with everyone from Billy Cobham to Paulus Schafer) and the young Italian Londoner, protégé of the Dutch school of Gypsy Jazz, Filippo Dall'Asta (whose acclaimed 2018 album blended European and Asian musics into a mesmerising whole), this trio will deep dive into the catalogue to bring fresh, rich interpretations.
