About

8:00pm MATT CHANDLER London based guitarist Matt Chandler is not only known for his jazz playing, but also genres including folk and electronica. Having worked with artists including Youth, Arno Carstens and Ozark Henry on his European tour, Matt also leads the electro-funk band Pest. He has been the winner of the Blue Noize blues guitar competition and was awarded “Future Guitar Legend” sponsored by Eastman in Los Angeles, 2013. Last year saw the release of his third album ‘Astrometrics’ which was deemed ‘Texturally adventurous’ by Jazzwise Magazine and ‘seemlessly sophisticated’ by All About Jazz. It's music for today, yesterday and tomorrow.” Bebop Spoken Here; "There’s no denying the taste, skill and talent of everyone involved and both Chandler’s compositions and his effortlessly swinging solos have an infectious energy." Jazz Views; “… Texturally adventurous, strong funky vibe… Chandler has a nice way with melody.” Jazzwise Magazine; "Riveting music that flows with seamless sophistication.” All About Jazz ...
