Winnie has always been an ardent fan of Ella Fitzgerald and she was delighted when after her Big Band show in 2016 at the Millfield Theatre ,North London, Lee Gibson was noted to have said “A complete star, absolutely sensational, musicallyimmaculate …….the British equivalent to the wonderful Ella!.” These comments encouraged Winnie to put together this homage to the wonderful Ella. Winnie is very fond of the swing style of Ella but also likes to shake things up by trying alternative genresand creating some intimate settings to well known standards.
