Claire Martin OBE brings her wealth of experience as a jazz vocalist into a brand new arena with the Brighton-based Montpellier Cello Quartet. This exciting new venture combines her love of the Great American Songbook and popular classics with brand new arrangements especially commissioned for this project by internationally renowned composers including Sir Richard Rodney Bennett, Mark Anthony Turnage and Django Bates. Unlike anything Claire has ever done before, this chamber-jazz adventure promises a magical fusion that brings a new sonic perspective to songs such as Kurt Weill’s My Ship, Tom Waits’ Old Boyfriends and Lennon and McCartney’s She’s Leaving Home.
