26-year-old Norwegian saxophone sensation Marius Neset already has two critically acclaimed albums under his belt, including his latest release Golden Xplosion. Recently described as ‘the most talented Norwegian saxophonist since Jan Garbarek in the 1960s’, Marius is joined by Django Bates on keyboards, Jasper Høiby on bass and Anton Eger on drums. Kicking off tonight’s double bill, Karen Sharp, tenor sax specialist and winner of two British Jazz Awards, performs tracks from her album Spirit, with a stellar line-up featuring Nikki Iles, Dave Green and Steve Brown.
