Guisborough Big Band LIVE at St George's Venue

The Guisborough Big Band consists of about 18 musicians who get together once a week to have fun making music. They play a wide variety of styles including swing, jazz, rock, latin and pop, with a little Glen Miller thrown in, as well as a few vocals by our lady singer.

Although strictly an amateur outfit they like to play a few gigs a year to share their music with a wider audience. This will be a lively concert, the bar will be open and everyone will have a big smile on their face In fact if you want to get up and dance then of course you can do that too.

The line-up is about what you would expect for a conventional Bigband but has a slightly heavier rhythm section than the bands of the 40s. At full strength they comprise of 5 saxophones, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, piano, guitar, bass, drums and vocalist....
